Article 1General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set forth the conditions governing the use of TypeCompass, a human insight and recognition system (the “Service”) provided by DAISEN (the “Operator”).
  2. All persons using the Service (each, a “User”) shall review and agree to these Terms before using the Service.
  3. Any usage instructions, operating guides, guidelines, or other provisions separately established by the Operator on or in connection with the Service shall form part of these Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and any separate provision, the separate provision shall prevail unless otherwise specified.
  4. Where the Service is used through a corporation, organization, or other entity, the entity’s administrators and Users shall comply with these Terms within the scope of their respective authority and responsibilities.

Article 2Purpose and Positioning of the Service

  1. The Service is intended to support mutual understanding between individuals and organizations, communication, management, talent development, team building, and related activities by providing insights into cognitive tendencies, information-processing preferences, decision-making tendencies, behavioral characteristics, psychological conditions, and other related information.
  2. The Service is not intended to classify individuals into fixed attributes or categories for their own sake. Types, classifications, scores, comments, feedback, and other results provided by the Service are intended as reference information to help Users deepen their understanding of themselves and others and improve dialogue and behavior.
  3. Human cognition and behavior may vary depending on roles, experience, environment, circumstances, condition, relationships with others, and other factors. Users shall not make definitive judgments about a person’s abilities, personality, aptitude, future behavior, or other characteristics solely on the basis of the Service’s results.
  4. The Service does not replace medical diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric assessment, legal judgment, or other professional judgment. Nor does the Operator guarantee any particular result, behavioral change, improvement in business performance, or other outcome.

Article 3Definitions

The following terms shall have the meanings set forth below in these Terms:

  1. “User” means any individual who uses the Service.
  2. “Organizational User” means a person who uses the Service within a company, organization, office, or other entity for business operations, talent development, organizational development, or similar purposes.
  3. “Administrator” means a person authorized to manage accounts, access permissions, subjects, data, and other aspects of the usage environment for organizational use.
  4. “Subject” means the individual whose responses, analyses, feedback, or other information are the subject of the Service.
  5. “Registration Information” means information registered, entered, or provided by a User in connection with use of the Service.
  6. “Usage Data” means Registration Information, responses, assessment or analysis results, usage history, progress information, and other information handled in connection with use of the Service.
  7. “Content” means all information and deliverables provided through the Service, including questions, text, charts, images, designs, type descriptions, analysis results, feedback, learning materials, and programs.

Article 4Conditions of Use and Account Management

  1. Users shall use the Service with accurate and up-to-date information.
  2. Where account registration is required, Users shall manage their account information and authentication credentials at their own responsibility.
  3. Users shall not transfer, lend, share, or otherwise permit third parties to use their accounts, except where authorized by the Operator.
  4. Users shall promptly notify the Operator or the relevant organizational Administrator if they become aware of unauthorized account use, disclosure of authentication credentials, or any other security issue.
  5. If Registration Information is false, incomplete, or suspected of being associated with unauthorized use, the Operator may verify the information, restrict use, or take other necessary measures.
  6. Minors shall obtain consent from a parent, guardian, or other person as required by applicable law before using the Service.

  1. When responding to questions, checklists, profile forms, or other requests for information, Users shall understand the purpose and instructions of the relevant feature and respond based on their own judgment and willingness.
  2. When entering or providing information concerning another person, Users shall ensure that they have lawful authority and any necessary consent, and shall respect that person’s privacy and rights.
  3. Where an Organizational User requests employees or other Subjects to use the Service, the Organizational User shall appropriately explain the purpose of use, handling of responses, persons who may view the results, scope of use, and other necessary matters to the Subjects.
  4. Where the Service provides specific instructions regarding whether responses are voluntary, the purposes for which responses may be used, or the scope of sharing results, Users and Administrators shall comply with those instructions.

Article 6Handling of Assessment and Analysis Results

  1. Types, scores, analysis results, comments, feedback, and other outputs displayed by the Service are reference information based on specified responses, analytical logic, settings, and other conditions.
  2. The results do not conclusively or objectively determine a User’s personality, abilities, aptitude, psychological condition, health condition, job performance, or future behavior.
  3. Users and Organizational Users shall use the results together with dialogue with the relevant person, confirmation of circumstances, and consideration of multiple sources of information. They shall not evaluate, stereotype, discriminate against, or otherwise disadvantage a person solely on the basis of the results.
  4. Where results are used in significant decisions, including hiring, dismissal, reassignment, promotion, demotion, compensation, or disciplinary action, the relevant laws, internal rules, fairness, and accountability to the person concerned shall be duly considered. Such decisions shall not be based solely on the Service’s results.
  5. The Operator does not guarantee that any particular type, result, or feedback will perfectly reflect every User’s actual circumstances, be suitable for a particular purpose, or produce any specific outcome.

Article 7Organizational Use and Administrator Responsibilities

  1. Organizational Users shall establish appropriate rules, to the extent necessary in light of the intended purpose, for the use of the Service within their organizations.
  2. Administrators shall manage User registration, access permissions, viewing of results, information sharing, account suspension, and other administrative matters within the scope of their authority and responsibilities.
  3. Administrators shall handle Subjects’ personal information and Usage Data only for clearly established purposes and within the scope of lawful authority.
  4. Administrators shall endeavor to use results to promote understanding, dialogue, development, and support, and shall not use them in a manner that unjustifiably undermines a person’s dignity or privacy.
  5. Organizational Users shall appropriately respond to inquiries from Subjects, requests for correction of results, and consultations concerning the handling of data.
  6. Organizational Users shall be responsible for their own decisions regarding purposes of use, internal sharing of results, personnel decisions, and other organizational actions. This does not exempt the Operator from any liability imposed on it by law.
